On January 16, 2006, Matt's truck rolled three times. A fragment of his vertebra entered his spinal cord. At 30 years old he lost everything below his waist. His doctor told him to become independent in a wheelchair and stop wasting time talking about walking.
Matt told him he had it wrong. He wasn't going to try to walk. He was going to walk.
Fifteen years later, he did.
Then in 2021, a drunk driver hit him head-on — seven months before his daughter's wedding. A second spinal cord injury. Fifteen years of progress gone in one second. He didn't walk his daughter down the aisle the way he'd planned. But he was there. They danced in wheelchairs. He calls it the greatest day of his life.
That didn't happen because he stayed positive. It happened because he did the real inner work, rewiring the way he thinks, breaking through the beliefs that were holding him back, and refusing to stay stuck.
That's exactly what Matt brings to every stage. Not motivation that fades by Monday. A framework audiences can use the moment they leave the room.

Two spinal cord injuries. Fifteen years of recovery erased in one second. Matt's story isn't about surviving, it's about refusing to accept the limits others place on you. This talk takes audiences through the moments that should have broken him and shows them exactly how he chose a different path. Raw, real, and impossible to forget.

Struggle doesn't mean weakness. Matt speaks openly about the mental and emotional battles that came with paralysis, chronic pain, and opioid dependency, and how he fought his way through all of it. This talk breaks down the stigma around mental health and gives audiences practical tools to build real resilience from the inside out.

The best teams aren't built on talent alone , they're built on trust, shared purpose, and the willingness to pull each other forward. Matt draws on his experience rebuilding his life with the support of others to show teams what's possible when everyone is genuinely committed to the same goal. Built for corporate teams, athletic programs, and leadership groups.

Every setback carries a lesson. Every obstacle holds an opportunity. Matt shows audiences how to stop asking "why is this happening to me" and start asking "what is this preparing me for." This talk reframes adversity as the very thing that qualifies you, and gives people a mindset they can apply to any challenge they're facing.

95% of your results are being driven by beliefs you didn't choose and thoughts you don't even know are running. Matt shows audiences how to identify the subconscious patterns that are keeping them stuck, in their performance, their relationships, and their lives, and how to replace them with beliefs that actually move them forward.

Life doesn't always go the way you planned. Matt knows this better than most. This talk is about what happens after the plan falls apart, how to find your footing, redefine your direction, and turn your hardest moment into your greatest turning point. Equal parts honest and practical, this one hits every audience differently because everyone has a pivot they're either living through or recovering from.
